Life's Been Good - Joe Walsh
Yet another song from my extensive and oh so cool 8-Trak collection!

Joe Walsh is a singer, songwriter and actor who has played guitar with not one but three successful bands; The James Gang, Barnstorm and the Eagles. Walsh has also found success as a solo artist and is a prolific musician playing with the likes of Michael Stanley, Dan Folgelberg, Warren Zevon, John Entwistle, Steve Winwood, and Bob Segar. After having played with James Gang then going on to found Barnstorm, Walsh was brought in to replace Bernie Leadon with the Eagles, taking the band towards a harder-edged sound and away from their earlier country style. As the Eagles struggled on a follow up to Hotel California, Walsh recorded some more solo work. His album, But Seriously Folks… released in 1978 featured today's Song of the Day. Life's Been Good a comic depiction of rock stardom, reached #12 on the U.S. Hot 100.

And for all you bargain shoppers out there, not only is the album $8 from the iTMS, but this song alone is close to 9 minutes long. More bang for your buck, indeed. And, for the record, this was the first 8-Trak I ever bought with my own money.
